2024: 1.21 just released; I'm trying to generate an Ocean Monument outside an ocean. Can't /place it due to placement restrictions, can't load it with the structure block, and can't create a custom world with a lower ocean level unless I want to spend more time writing a datapack than it would take to drain an ocean monument in creative. But we're totally getting this feature back "Soon (tm)" 🙃

so The reason why I think minecraft crashes at 2 ^ 26 and 2 ^ 27 is due to how minecraft works 2147483648 / 1. 6 = number and between that is also cursed so like the reason why is just weird but the back story of 2 ^ 27 is that minecraft caculates chunks coordinates by dividing number by 1.6 so the reason why it is doing that might be just because of the same caculation of 2147483648 / 1.6

This happens because in bedrock edition, the game uses 32-bit floating points to calculate the precision of the blocks, which uses 23 bits for the hitboxes, and this means that on much higher distances, there are less possible locations between powers of 2 which created the stuttering effect, and if you do what antvenom did in the video, the game will think you are on the edge of a block, causing you to fall through the world. At 8,388,608 blocks, it becomes nearly impossible to travel on foot because you'll just fall through the blocks. Also this doesnt occur on java because it uses 64-bit floating points instead

It feels like Minecraft Bedrock's biggest problem is that it must be compatible with every device that it promises to support. The about things like the debug and the nether roof is that they were never supposed to be accessible by the player. It's nice and all but to me it's much more fun to navigate the world without using coordinates. It leads to some fun problem solving occasions.

Behavior packs are not easier, having to pay for mods is terrible, it does not stomp on java any day with importing resource packs, mods or skins. Especially when those things are completely free, and are just better.
